The accounts follow the trade, not a second data entry

Invoices, receipts, payments and payroll post to the journal as they happen, so the books are a view of the business rather than a monthly re-keying of it. You review the journal, control your VAT position before preparing the G50, read the income statement and balance sheet, and export everything your accounting practice needs.

01

The journal, and how entries get there

Almost every entry has a document behind it. The ones that do not are the ones you post yourself, deliberately.

  • Sales, purchases, payments and payroll post automatically
  • Manual journal entries where judgement is required
  • Each entry traceable back to the document that produced it
  • Fiscal periods that can be closed and reopened, with a record of it
02

VAT control before the G50

A preparation and control view, not a filing service.

  • Posted VAT reconciled against the sales and supplier schedules
  • Monthly working period for the real regime, quarterly for the simplified regime
  • Timing differences and incomplete supplier data raised as exceptions
  • The supporting schedules laid out so the working papers can be built
03

What your accountant receives

The books leave in a form a practice can work with.

  • Journal and ledger exports
  • Income statement and balance sheet
  • Management reports over the same figures
  • An activity trail showing who did what, and when

Questions people ask

Does Horizon213 file my G50?

No, and it says so on the screen. It reconciles posted VAT with the sales and supplier schedules and raises the exceptions, so the working papers are prepared and defensible. Filing and statutory review stay with your accountant.

Can my accountant have access?

Yes. There is an accountant role, and access is granted per person and per company. A read-only access exists for anyone who should see the figures without changing them.

Can I still post an entry by hand?

Yes. Manual journal entries are supported for the cases automation should not decide, and they sit in the same journal as everything else.
